One Note should allow me to line up my typed text on ruled paper.

Feature Request ... "snap to ruled paper for typed text". I noticed that
when I selected verda text 10 pt, that two lines of text approximately equal
one college ruled line. Unfortunately, this is not an exact match and after
several lines, the text no longer matches up. It would be nice to be able to
automatically select a font that would match these up.

Since the rule lines don't print they're really only there to guide people
who are inking. It's not a bad idea to be able to align typed text to the
rule lines I guess, but when I'm typing notes I generally turn the rule
lines off.

Same reason in a real typewriter (remember those! <grin>) I rarely typed on
ruled paper.

Why does Quicken use two tones in its registry? Why does fan fold printer
paper have two tones? The reason is because when a person is looking at
large amounts of lines of text lists, it helps make it easier to read item if
they are broken up.

Although, to be honest, this may not be a big issue in the future after
OneNote implements tables, which is scheduled for the next release. On the
other hand, a person might just want guidelines for adding data without
adding the complexity of a table.

Most of my data in one note are lists, lists, and more lists. I make a
very very large list of items. As I complete the items, I check it off and
then I mark it with the date and time. I don't add more than this at the
current time, because the data entry without tables becomes too complex.
