One Note - small issue, should be corrected.

in a new Section,

You cannot make the first note with stationary. You can only click
"New Page".

The workaround is of course is to make a new page, then make another
new page with stationary, then delete the first page. Seems silly to
have to do this.

I don't want it to be the default.
I just want to use a stationary for the first note

The default is used by what you call the first note, as far as I
understand it.

If you want to use different stationery for subsequence pages, then
make the relevant selection from the Stationery task pane.

You don't understand it then.

You CANNOT use stationary for the first note.
It is not an option.

I think EMR is referring to the fact that when you create a new section, a
new blank page is immediately created. You cannot choose any stationery for
that initial page prior to it being created.

To then get a page in that Section with the desired stationery, you can
create a new page via the down arrow on the new page tab or via the
Stationery panel.

You then have to delete the blank page which was generated when you created
the new section.

I think the question is: is there an easier way to get your desired
stationery on the first page when creating a new Section?

No. The method you describe is the only way to add stationery to a page.
