One Note Templates?

David

There are two Onenote templates in in my templates folder called daily
calendar and assignment notebook. There are also two shortcuts with the same
name. If I click them, onenote opens and says the items are already open in
another part of the notebook. They say they are under other notes but if I
open onenote on its own, there are no files under other notes and no files by
the names of the templates. How can I use those templates and what are they?

Hi David,

I believe what you are referring to is OneNote stationery. OneNote
stationery pages are simply customized pages for note-taking. Stationery can
be used in many ways such as planners, meeting notes, or even just
decorative.

To use OneNote stationery, you can use the pre-existing stationery files
that come with the product. Go to File> New. A new window will appear and you
can click on New from Stationery. Simply select the stationery file that you
would like to use and it will appear as a new page in your notebook.

You can also download stationery files from Office Online. We currently have
stationery that is created by Office Online and there is a new feature on the
site that allows you to download stationery from other OneNote users. To
check out the new community stationery, go to the new OneNote community
portal at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/FX011353061033.aspx. You can
upload stationery that you have created or download stationery from other
users.

thanks,
christina
