One Note : Tree-based notes

Often I feel it would be nice if One Note could allow me to organize my notes
in the form of a treeview - especially when I have to make notes relating to
categorization and taxonomies. This would help me organize my data better and
help me save some space in my notes.

Functionality to handle categories have been requested for a long
time. It's certainly something I would like to see in OneNote in
Office 12.

OneNote would be making a huge error if they dont almost copy
identically what EverNote did with categories.

Check it out Chris.
You won't be disappointed.

I totally agree with your point about categories and Evernote. Though I
would say Onenote should keep its page and subpage structures (Evernote is
just one long sheet of onenote which I don't like). But Onenote should still
add on top some categories functionality that Evernote has. Please, please,
please!

However, I think the original poster was talking about tree based notes,
which I took to be a request for having an outline view to the note
structure.

Now Onenote 2007 does seem to have an outline view on the LHS which is an
improvement, but my understanding is the maximum number of levels in the
"tree" is 3-4 levels (folders/pages). My preference would be an unlimited
number of levels in the ree, but unfortunately the next version doesn't seem
to offer that.
