One page number in middle of document does not show

I have a 20 page document and all of the page numbers appear fine, except
page 5. I took the footer off and just did Insert Page Number. Still no
page number 5, any ideas? dk

Just a wild guess, but something may be covering it up (such as an AutoShape
with no line and white fill). This type of "electronic whiteout" is often
used intentionally. Here's how to check:

1. With the insertion point on page 5 adjust the view so that the footer
area is displayed, but don't open the footer pane.

2. Display the drawing toolbar and select the Select Objects tool.

3. With the mouse, draw a rectangle around the footer area. If there is
anything in that area to be selected, you should see white handles. Select
the object and press Delete.
