One PC, Dual Monitor.

I have two monitors plugged into one graphics card and
both monitors appear to be working fine. However, this
does not allow me to open two separate Access Databases
(one for each monitor). All the monitor settings are
correct, yet there are no shortcut icons or taskbar on
the second monitor either. Would a second Graphics Card
act like a second desktop . give me icons, task bar and
the ability to open multiple versions of Access? Thanks
in advance!

The answer depends on your video driver, but you should be able to open two
instances of Access. Restore one instance (so it is not maximized), and drag
it onto the other screen.

In Access 2000 and later, you can place the main Access window on one
monitor, and the VBA window on the other. Very useful!

I'm using a GeForce FX 5200, and the nVidia drivers support rotating a
monitor to portrait view, so I can see an entire printed page of code in
portrait at one time, with the interface view of the application in normal
(landscape) view on the other monitor. Generally you would not get that
functionality with two video cards.
