One project publishes slowly [2003]

Hello!

We have a Project Server 2003 installation. One project in this
installation takes forever (well, 3+ hours) to publish. Other projects of
similar size take 2-3 minutes. Given enough time, the project will publish
with no errors.

From reading posts, we thought the file might be corrupt, so we saved it as
an XML file, renamed the file and re-imported the project under another name.
But the renamed file took just as long to publish as the original, so no
dice there.

Does anyone have any ideas for how to trouble-shoot this, or any ideas as to
why this project is such a slow-poke? Any ideas about what we can look for?

Saving it as an XML is probably only half the solution. You may also need
to rebuild the binary record for the file in the SQL Server database. Refer
to the following FAQ:

Interestingly, the symptoms of this issue sound the same, and so you would
think that rebuilding the binary record and saving it as XML would help.
Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case this time. I'm not sure yet how we
will handle this, but if we find a solution I will post it here. In the mean
time, I'd welcome any other suggestions....
