One project with Multiple inserted projects and PM's for each Inse

Due to a huge project, I have Created a Master project with some activities
and inserted other projects. Each inserted project has a different Project
Manager. i.e There are also tasks in the Master projects along with the
inserted projects. Now I want the task updates in master project to be
directed to one Project Manager and other inserted project tasks to
respective project managers.

But the Master plan may or may not be created by the same person. Currently
to get the task updates as mentioned above. I am following the below
mentioned steps:

1) Master Project with inserted projects is created by a person who may or
may not be Project Manager
2) Logged to PWA and changed the ownership to the respective Project
Managers.
3) Now each inserted Project and the Master Project have different Project
Managers.
4) Now to the get the respective task updates each project Managers are
republishing the respective projects.

Hope this is the right approach.

One more doubt is is it necessary to change the owner through PWA or only
publishing with the respective project manager's login should be enough to
get the task updates.
