what Mike Glen says is correct BUT you could do the
following: link an "End-of-Project (EOP)" task to either
the last short or long term task. This EOP task should be
10,000 days long or so and then MSP calculates the
critical path for the short resp. the long term tasks.
Because MSP calculates the critical path always backwards
from the task ending last.
