OneNote 2003 Offline files problem with Win2000

I am having some problems using OneNote 2003 offline with Windows 2000.
Here is the scenario:
1. One Note is installed on a Windows 2000 laptop.
2. The "My Notebook" folder is located on a network drive.
3. I right-clicked on the folder and selected "make available
offline". The folder, all sub-folders and OneNote specific files
within the folders should now be available when the laptop is
disconnect from the network.
4. When I pull the network cable from the laptop, I can open OneNote
with no problems.
5. When I reboot the laptop (still disconnected from the network) and
open OneNote, I ses all of the folders and section tabs OK, but the
contents of the sections (the OneNote "*.one" files) are not correctly
read (I get the "an unknown error occurred while opening this section"
error).

I use offline folders with other MS apps with no problems (Word, Excel,
etc), but for some reason this functionality doesn't work with OneNote
2003! I have seen older posts in this group from other people with
this same issue, but no one has ever had a solution. I am just
reposting to see if anyone has any new ideas on this subject.

Thanks

Anyone have any ideas on this subject. From searching this forum (and
others) I know other users have experienced this same problem. Also,
no one seems to have a solution to the issue. It seems as though this
is an incompatability (or bug) between Win2000 and OneNote2003 (even
though OneNote 2003 is supposed to be Win2000 compliant). Does anyonme
have any ideas about this?

Thanks.
