I have a USB recorder, will I be able to record audio on OneNote using this.
I search microsoft Onenote site, there it is mentioned that any make mode
mike or device plugged into mike jack on the pc.
Not sure if this USB recorder which is plugged to USB on the computer will
work with OneNote.

can you use it as a mike or do you plug it in only to transfer notes? if it
can be used as a mike and is recognized as a mike by windows it should work.

Hi Diane,

Thank you for replying. I heard about this USB recorder which get plugged
into usb port and record voice using mike. I was wondering if this can be
used with OneNote. I guess there is software for usb recorder which makes it
work.

As Diane said, if Windows recognizes it as a microphone (i.e. it shows up
under Control Panel | Sounds and Audio Devices) and *not* as a hard
drive, it should work.

What you can do as a no-risk test, is to download the free trial of
OneNote (http://www.microsoft.com/office/onenote/prodinfo/trial.mspx) and
see if it works. If it does, then you're set, and can continue your
evaluation and purchase the full version.
