OneNote 2003 trial edition no longer available

Hi,
I am trying to get hold of a url (or media) for the OneNote 2003 trial
edition. All the links I have tried take e to OneNote 2007 trial but I need
to locate the 2003 version... Basically, it came (with certificate and
validation code) preinstalld on my laptop but the installed vrsion was
damaged when removing the Excell 2007 beta to upgrade to the full version.
Now, OneNote tries to repair itself but then asks for files on the original
media that I do not have. Microsoft support have said I should justgo out and
buy another copy (as if!)... The computer manufacturer (Toshiba) says
problems with the install can be fixed by installing the trial version and
using the key supplied with the laptop... Can any one help. Is the 2003 trial
version download still availabl anywhere? How might I get hold of a copy?
Many thanks.

Hi Boris,

Did you have OneNote 2003 SP1 trial edition?
What build info do you get from Help | About?
Do you have any friend who has an OneNote 2003 CD?
Since you already have the key (provided by Toshiba), you will be able to
install from any OneNote 2003 CD. If you don't know anyone who has a
OneNote2003 CD, I'll try to find a way to send one.

Thanks,
Doehee

Hi Doehee,
Many thanks for your very helpful reply. Unfortunately, I do not have the
onenote trial media (I didn't realise I would ever need it until it was no
longer available). The build I had had already updated to SP2 (via an office
update) though I assume (as the laptop is only about 6 months old) that it
was installed from the SP1 trial (I cannot tell as I cannot, at present,
start OneNote... though the exe says it is file version 11.0.6554.0. I have
tried installing OneNote retail from a CD they had at work but it would nopt
accept my Toshiba OneNote key (perhaps because the media was too old to
recogniose a fairly new key?).
If you can find a way of letting me have the appropriate media, I would
really grateful... I am out of the country for a while but you can contact me
by e-mail on:
boris.pretzel[at]vam.ac.uk (replacing the [at] with the normal character)...
Many thanks again and very best wishes, Boris.
