OneNote 2007 Beta2 Blues

I was excited to try OneNote 2007 Beta2. I had some issues with the windows
explorer after I installed ON2007, so I unistalled it. I had to roll back a
week with the recovery tool, and now I can't use OneNote2003.

I am stuck, since I can't remove 2003, nor can I re-install it. I love the
tool, but it has now become a critical issue. It appears I'll have to reload
XP Pro, and re-do my whole laptop.

How can I manually uninstall OneNote2003, so I can re-install it?

I have tried Detect/Repair , remove software components, repair office
installation...
Any thoughts welcomed and appreciated.

You may wish to try a registry editor. First back up your registry, and then
with the registry editor - be it the MS regedit or a 3rd party program (I
prefer RegWorks) you can search for and delete the keys that refer to
OneNote2003. Then you should be able to reinstall without further trouble.

Bud -
Thanks for the tip on RegWorks. Looks like a decent tool.
I used it to remove all traces of ON in the registry.
Now i get an error, stating that the installation source for this product is
not available. I am in fact trying to install directly from the Original ON
2003 CD.
I have also tried removing and re-installing Office 2003, thinking there was
some connection with ON there.
I am stuck. I can't remove ON, as there is nothing left in the registry to
delete. I can't remove it from the control panel, as there is no longer an
entry for it there.
There seems to be some ON files left in the Office11 folder, but jeese ,this
thing has me in a tail spin.
Any other ideas?
Thanks-

Get rid of the remaining ON files in Office 11. Get rid of OneNote 2007
registry entries as well as OneNote 2003 entries. Just search on OneNote
and delete all. There will be hundreds, at least if you include the ones
already deleted.
