I printed a powerpoint page into a onennote page. The powerpoint was about
50 mb. When onennote loads a page, sometimes it comes up all black. How do
I resolve this?

Which version of OneNote?

OneNote tends to do this if the file being imported is too large, or if you
are running low on memory. Try printing a smaller PowerPoint file and let us
know if it works.

I had the same thing happen, but it made most of the background dark grey,
except at the very top where the original white background was. I did not
import a Power Point file, just some scanned diagrams. I can't get the
normal white background back, even copy and paste to a new section or other
notebook, it's still partially greyed out. This is happening in two sections
of the same notebook.

I am not low on memory, I have 1 gig memory on a pretty much new Dell
Inspirion E1505. How can I get my regular background back? It's very hard
to study notes on a dark grey background.

somehow change the file size of a powerpoint that was not made by me. How do
I change the file size of the powerpoint for my lectures? It is also onenote

As you printed the PPT file into ON you seem to have PPT installed.
It's easy enough then.
Just create new files and drag a reasonable of slides from the
original presentation into there.

I don't know if the PowerPoint-to-OneNote (PPT2One) powertoy works with
OneNote 2007, but it's probably a good bet. See
http://www.borlik.net/blog for more information.
