I installed the OneNote 2007 trial today and mostly love it, but I'm having
trouble with it frequently freezing up. I'll be in the middle of typing and
everything will just hang for a few seconds. It was the worst when I played
around with using the drawing tools--if I selected an already created line
and tried to move it, everything would freeze for several seconds before
anything happened.
I defragmented my hard drive (it was time anyway). I had OneNote optimize
section folders. I have 108 GB free on my hard drive, so I'm not out of drive
space. I'm planning to add more memory in the next few months--is that
probably the issue? Is there something I can do to improve performance in the
meanwhile? Any other thoughts? I'm a journalist, and I take interview notes
all day--I can't have OneNote freezing every other sentence.
