OneNote 2007 Image Tools

I think that there should be more image editing features. At least include a
image crop setting. It is really annoying to copy pictures back and forth.

It is really annoying to copy pictures back and forth.

Especially when you have no control over any extra processing that may
take place as you cut and paste. I've noticed that the image quality
degrades every time I copy and paste a picture out of OneNote then back
again.

(Why would I need to do this? Any time I want to mark up a picture and
expect that markup to stay with the picture. I can't just draw on top of
it in OneNote because that markup will eventually get moved around and no
longer make any sense. But that is another topic already discussed.

I generally do this for mathematical notes I have taken in Journal and
then need to add something to. I have to copy the picture back into
Journal, add whatever, then copy and paste it back into OneNote 2007 via
ON 2003 so it will be a picture instead of a scattered mess of separate
ink in separate writing blocks.)

I would agree, but at this stage of things, image processing seems to be
centralized into other MS applications and wouldn't make sense to duplicate
in OneNote.

Ideally, this would be easier when/if ON supports OLE.

Only too true.
OLE is one of the things I'm most seriously missing.
I really can not understand why that is totally missing in ON.
