OneNote 2007 Not Enabling Use of Pen

M

MCSFTL

Hello,
I've just installed MS Office 2007 & OneNote 2007 on a Lifebook T Series
tablet running Windows Tablet PC Edition 2005 SP2.

When I go to select pen ink, a modal box pops up saying that "Ink only works
with Windows Tablet PC Edition 2005 SP2 and download from MS Site".

Ink then is disabled until I reload OneNote.

TIA

You might ask in news://msnews.microsoft.public.windowsxp.tabletpc in
addition

I installed the ON2007 final on my tc1100 yesterday anfd it works
pretty fine.

That's the RTM build...
Some other people have reported this problem during the beta, but I
don't think they ever got a resolution. Let me see if I can't find out
some more info about this.
I'll get back to you, but it might be a few days!

Yes, I installed it from MSDN yesterday.

Note that ink seems to be just fine using, say Journal.

Any help is really appreciated!

We have not seen this problem externally, only internally when users use a
tool that removes the Office forcibly. To fix this please do this:

1. open up a command prompt
2. cd "%ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Ink
3. regsvr32 /s inkobj.dll
4. Close and restart OneNote

Please let us know if this fixes this for you.
