OneNote: Ability to draw lines & highlights snapped to grid!

P

PaulJS

I run OneNote on a desktop, but find it difficult (almost impossible) to draw
straight lines, circles, or highlights w/ a mouse. I tried holding down
Shift, Alt, Ctl singly and in combinations to see if it would snap a line. I
like OneNote but really think it needs the ability to draw objects, like
lines, highlights, circles, squares similar to something like Visio. It'd be
a real help! (Or is there already a way to do it now that I'm missing??? It
wouldn't be the first time I made that mistake.)
Thanks!!!

OneNote 2007 has the kind of drawing tools you are asking for.

Patrick:

Thanks very much for the information and the quick reply! I didn't know
there was a new version out. I just checked the MS web site and will be
purchasing the updates. I build database systems and find OneNote to be a
handy way of keeping punch lists, etc.

Thanks again!

There isn't anything to purchase yet. OneNote 2007 is currently in Beta
2 and you can download the beta for free from the Office 2007 Preview
Site.
Be warned though that it is a real beta version with hassles, flaws,
potential data loss, etc.
Also, if you use ON on more than one computer, you would be well advised
to read Chris Pratley's blog first.
