OneNote and Acrobat 7.0 standard

Hi,
I recently upgraded Acrobat 5.0 to Acrobat standard 7.0 and it
looks like I am no more able to open a pdf file inserted in a onenote
page (file inserted in onenote, thus copied in the OneNote directory).
When I click on the <file:blablabla.pdf>, Acrobat opens and closes
right away, not even displaying a bit of the file. Things were working
perfectly previously with Acrobat 5.0.
Am I alone with the problem, or is it experienced by somebody else
and more important, if so, is there a solution????

Note that I am running Windows XP Tablet PC 2005 SP2 with OneNote
2003 SP1 and Acrobat Standard 7.0 (french version for the latter).

Thanks.

I've just noticed the same thing (I upgraded to AR7 just today). The
same behavior seems to occur when opening a PDF file in the same manner
from any Office application. It's not restricted to OneNote.

I don't have an answer yet but it may help your sanity to know you're not
alone in experiencing this ;) I'll poke around on Adobe's forums and see
if there's a solution.

I use Acrobat 6.0 but have not upgrade to 7.0 because I also use GoBinder in
addition to OneNote (depends on what I'm doing at the time). I have seen
several posts on GoBinder sites that indicate version 7.0 doesn't work
properly on that product eaither. Most have said they had to go back to 6.0.

Thanks for the answers. I just felt less alone knowing that it affects
other applications other than OneNote and widened my search. It is
obviously an Acrobat feature and not a OneNote feature...

In the Acrobat forum on the Adobe site, there is some heat emanating
from angry posts in one subject and there is a proposed workaround.
If Acrobat is already opened (if and only if), after the failed
attempt to load the linked file from OneNote, the file can be recalled
in Acrobat with the "Alt - left arrow" combination. It works, but not
very satisfying when you have paid good money for an upgrade that
should be an improved product.

Waiting for an Acrobat 7.0 patch.

Thanks.

It's a known issue -- as you observe in your later post we're waiting on
an Adobe patch.
