OneNote And Messenger

I have a problem, and it's getting annoying...

When I copy from OneNote 2007 and paste in messenger, it does as image, not
as text

Is there any way around this?

Greetings

Frustrating, isn't it? Only way around it that I have found is to paste the
text into Word or notepad first, then to messenger. It drives me nuts.

It sure is frustrating...
I had a problem today:
I use OneNote to keep track of my requests, so I copy from my providers'
web pages their codes and prices. As I was tired of that "game", I copied a
code by "eye and hand" and got it wrong...
Is there a way to tell messenger not to send images?

Should I change to another Noter?.. Is There any other brand of notes that
works ok?

I used OneNote 2003 and worked fine. Should I go back?.. oh, no, I can't...
there's no way to open 2007 from 2003

This is a known bug in certain versions of messenger. I believe there's
an update available that fixes this. If you're using the most recent
version of messenger, please post the versions of messenger and OneNote
you're using, as well as any additional info needed to reproduce this.

Well, I give up.

I tried to upgrade my Messenger and the same thing happened.
I just switched to another IM client

You should spend some little time configuring it, but it's worth it. Is
less than the time and money I lost yesterday.

Works ok, don't have all those nice little extras, but, anyway; I want to
work, not to see another people's funny faces and those sort of things.

Bye Bye MSN Messenger

I don't think you can really count this as a messenger bug. OneNote puts the
data onto the clipboard as both a bitmap and as text. And Messenger happens
to have a (extremely useful) feature in that it can paste bitmap data on the
clipboard as a file transfer. The problem is just that it's preferring
bitmaps over text.

Really, OneNote shouldn't be putting text on the clipboard as a bitmap if
the selection does not contain ink or other drawings. The precedent has been
for applications to put RTF and plain text on the clipboard in this
scenario. Word does it, the rest of Office does it. OneNote is the only one
I've seen that puts text-only selections in the clipboard as a bitmap. You'd
have to assume that other applications aren't going to have the same
preference for images over text when pasting.

Apparently I was mistaken - the version that contains the fix has not
yet been released. The fix should be in the next major version, but I
don't have an estimate for when that version is coming out.

I am so glad to read this. I have this thread watched because I thought that
I was doing something wrong. I am on the most recent version of Messenger
and still getting the problem.

When you can tell us when the fix is available, will you? You know we would
appreciate it!
