onenote and outlook don't sync at all

there are no sync options (faded out) other than work off line. Is there an
internet setting or outlook setting that has to be set to have these two
programs sync?

Do you get the all clear when you run menu: Help-Office Diagnostics...?

I have run office diagnostics and it has nothing to report. Everything is
fine. I really think the program is great but I as so frustrated by this
little glitch.

it -obviously you did not answer my question in a reply to yourself)

Trying to sort things out:

If a note in ON is flagged with a task icon in ON, it automatically
appears as a task in OUTLOOK.

Does this not work for you?

In OL in the task window there is a link to ON. Clicking on it opens the
page in ON.

I do not see, what you want to see being "synched" in so far and what
you might be missing. :-(

When I flag it in ON it does not appear in OL. It tells me the task not yet
found in outlook. Days later it still is not found in OL. I can send things
from OL to ON it is just the task flag thing doesn't work. It never shows up
in my to do list in OL.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what might that abnormal behaviour in your
system.
