OneNote and PDF files

I see where PDF files can be brought into OneNote, but now I'm looking for a
way to input information into that PDF file so I can email the completed PDF
file to someone, such as an instructor.

thanks,
Jess

That would have to be a utility note related to OneNote; I don't know
offhand what the forms capabilities are with PDF files (i.e. if you need
the full paid version of Acrobat instead of the free Acrobat Reader).

Your best bet is to poke around at http://www.adobe.com/

Onenote isnt a PDF writer.

Unlike the acronym, PDF isn't. (heh, it was a joke)

Try finding a PDF print driver that way you can print from onenote to a new
PDF document.
But not changing or editing an old one.

That's pretty much what I want to do-I have an instructor publishing labs in
PDF, and I do everything else class-related from OneNote; I was hoping I
could do the labs in OneNote too and just email the whole assignment. Oh
well. :)

The academic price for Acrobat Standard or Elements or whatever they're
calling the latest version shouldn't be too expensive. It will let you do
exactly what you want. It might be worth the investment if you'll be doing
a lot of PDF making.

Already have the full version. :)

thanks,
Jess

I have Acrobat 7 installed. For some reason, the Acrobat pdf option does
not appear does not appear in One Note File, Print {it does in Word 2003}.
Also, there have been reported problems with the interface between Acrobat 7
and Office applications.

I also have some Scansoft applications installed which include a Scansoft
PDF Create. I have not found any conflicts with having both Acrobat 7 and
the Scansoft PDF Create installed {does not mean there are none}. One Note
does list Scansoft PDF Create in File, Print. I have used the Scansoft to
create PDF files from One Note. No problems, so far, with regular notes.
Some problems with images. Not tried audio. You may want to check Scansoft
PDF Converter or other of their applications that include the PDF Create at:

http://www.scansoft.com/pdfconverter/

Strange. I heave the full version of 6.0 and it works fine.

I need time to sit down and play with it some more. I've only had OneNote a
few weeks, and I'm doing the full time school thing too.

You can print the PDF to OneNote using:
http://www.analogreality.com/onenotepowertoys/OneNotePowerToys.htm

In OneNote, type or handwrite on the form.

Then output as PDF with a PDF writer (there are quite a few that are even
free on the net)

I believe that even if you own the professional version of Acrobat that it
is the creator of the form who controls whether it can be filled out insde
Reader or not.

It is, at least AFAIK.
