OneNote as a Database Front-End

P

Phydeux

I work in Tech Support somewhere. In OneNote I have a notebook that helps me
keep track of my cases--especially when taking notes for those cases.

Everything is layed out as a table with fields (Case Number, Customers,
Issue, etc.). Now I would like to dump all of my dat from these fields into
Access or SQL. Any thoughts on how to do this?

One-time dump? You should be abe to copy the table into an Excel
spreadsheet and from there massage it into whatever format you need to
match a pre-created Access or SQL table.

As a front end? OneNote does not ahve the API tools to do that. It's not
really part of the design of the product. If you want a front end, you can
try to cobble something together in Access and use the OneNote API to link
back and forth. I'm not familiar enough with the programming capabilities
within Access or with the OneNote API to know how feasibl this is.
