Other dication software for recording audio notes usually includes an
automatic sound activation/deactivation, so that if no sound above a certain
level (level usually user-defined) is heard in a user-defined interval,
recording is paused, and the position backed up to the last sound. This way,
when I'm dictating and pause for 10 seconds to think, there is no 10-second
silence in the audio file.
