Hi,

I was going thru the OneNote API available in the SP 1. It allows me
to Import the Image / HTML/ Ink to the .one file.

Can anybody please Explain if there is anything more than this i can
do using the dotOne API. Is there any Automation Object Provided for
the same.

Thanks
Vikash

What you're seeing is correct. The SP1 API only allow
for importing of certain data into OneNote. There is no
object model exposed nor is there support for VBA or OLE,
etc.

This is a frequent and popular request and I know MS is
aware of the requests.

Any body having any idea, when can we expect the same from Microsoft
to provide the same, i mean the automation support for the oneNote.

I think they must have the plan to do something like this, as it is
the office integrated Product.

Thanks

Vikash – as noted, we've heard this request a lot. We are planning to add to the extensibility features in the future. We're deliberately taking a gradual approach to it in order to ensure that we don't create a platform before we know the ways people really want to use the product. "Push this into OneNote" was the one area where we felt clear that there was already a broad set of scenarios for SP1, and that those scenarios were unlikely to decline in relevance regardless of how we tuned the product direction.
