OneNote autosave

I know that OneNote has an autosave feature. It works great when my OneNote
page is stored on my laptop. When my OneNote is stored in a shared folder on
a Window Sharepoint Service, then the auto-save every 30 seconds is driving
me crazy due to the write latency involved. Is there a way to turn OFF
autosave that will allow me to save manualy? My current work-around is just
to enter and update all my information in a local page and then re-copy and
paste onto the shared OneNote.

Actually you can.

There is a registry key:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\OneNote\Options\Save\AutosaveInterval

It is a DWord for seconds and the default is 30, so if you want to up it to
5 minutes you should put 300 in there.

Try that and see if it works for you...anyone else want to verify this? I
know it is a group policy and for more info you can see here:

I hope this helps!

There is a registry key which says AutoSave and you can reset it to be a
longer period of time

Is this valid for ON 2007 too?
