OneNote Cannot Sync

Hello,

I sync ON2007 accross three computers - 2 Vista, 1 XP SP2. The file
is stored on Windows 2003 SP2, WSS Sharepoint Services 3.0 - document
library. All but the XP SP2 are on an AD Domain.

This is the second time I've gotten the following error on 1 section
of the 10 or so I have, in 1 notebook. (Yellow Exclamation) "This
section contains changes that cannot be synced because access to the
section file is denied. Correct the file permissions or save your copy
of this section elsewhere."

The following things happen after this error comes up:
- The section becomes read only.
- I can't delete the now "orphaned" section - those options are
greyed out.
- The items become read only.
- This has happened on 1 version of the syncd' notebook and on all
version of the syncd' notebook.
- The first time this happened I blamed it on (no mitigating things
have caused the second instance of this issue):
- I changed my domain Username
- I unprotected a password protected Section

Pruning, patching together & manually diffing' notebooks when this
issue happen makes this is a NO STARTER for ON 2007.

Any things to help avoid this error in the future would be great.

Thanks,
Dan

Did you have a table in those sections?
Can you avoid using SharePoint and instead share the notebook via a
Windows file share?

We're working with the SharePoint team to identify the cause of this
issue. Currently, there is no workaround available, however, if you wait
some time and restart OneNote, the problem will eventually go away on
its own. If you have another computer with OneNote running, it may help
to edit the section on that computer and then restart OneNote on the
computer that's having the problem, although I'm not sure if that'll
actually do anything to fix the problem.

- Yes, there may be a table "somehwere" in the notebook.
- It would cripple the shareing accros the Internet to have to use a
Windows file share, yes?
- Assuming I don't want to VPN in to a file share, what other options
do I have to share a ON over the Internet?
- You guys now of a place to read more about current known issues with
ON?

If you change the layout (rows & columns) of the table in two places at
once, then you get sharing issues.
Short of a VPN, SharePoint is probably the best for sharing across the
Internet.
The best place for current known issues is this newsgroup and Connect.
