OneNote corrupted cache

When I start OneNote 2007, I get the message "OneNote cannot access the
notebook cache file. It may be corrupted. OneNote will restart and create a
new cache file. Erro code 0xE00001A3" When I hit OK then I get the error
message
"The notebook cache file is corrupted. OneNote must create anew cache file
to continue. You may delete the existing cache file or keep a copy for
technical support. Deleting the corrupted cache file will save disk space
and will not lose any content already synced with your notebooks. However,
if you have offline notebooks that have not synced recently, you will lose
unsynced changes."

It is likely that this is caused by a corrupt section somewhere in your
notebooks. First, we should try clearing the cache. It's typically
located at "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local
Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\OneNote\12.0\OneNoteOfflineCache.onecache". Shut down
OneNote, delete or rename the file (note that if you've been working
offline, this will discard any changes that haven't yet been synced to
the server), and restart OneNote.

If that doesn't resolve the problem, we need to isolate which section is
triggering the corruption. If this happens when navigating to a
particular page or section, that section is likely the corrupt one.
Otherwise, you'd need to open each notebook/section one at a time to
identify the one triggering the error.

Once you've identified the file, open a command prompt, navigate to the
OneNote install directory (typically "%PROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft
Office\Office12") and run "onenote.exe /forcerepair <path to the corrupt
file>".

Thank your for the advice. Deleting the cache does not clear the problem. I
have tried opening many different .one files and they each cause the corrupt
cache to be recreated. Is there a way to forecerepair all of them at once?
Could the problem be something else. The cache that gets recreated is about
20MB.

There is no way to repair multiple files at once. If you've been able to
isolate the set of files that cause the corruption, unfortunately you'll
need to repair them one at a time. If you don't mind sharing one or two
of the files though, it might be possible to prevent similar corruptions
in the future. If you are willing to share them, you can send them to
my email address.
