I moved OneNote to a new computer. Unfortunately I had not set up backups by the time OneNote suddenly crashed leaving the Notebook names visible but ALL THE DOCUMENTS gone...Every single one.
I talked to someone at MS - they said there is no hope - everything is gone and I should have made backups. Yes, I should have but I've been working on the computer for decades and I've never had a catastrophic failure like this..
So is everything REALLY gone?
If so I'm going to reconsider using OneNote. I love the design but it's had its issues - not all my Notebooks showed up in One Notebooks in the documents section for instance and the remaining ones were jumbled.
I don't know that I trust backups enough to continue to use program so vital to me (I'm a writer) which is subject to such a catastrophic failure.
