OneNote Data On Multiple Computers

D

Damien Storme

Scenario: I work in multiple locations, on different computers.

Problem: I now have OneNote data on multiple computers and inevitably
discover that the information currently needed is located on another
computer.

Any suggestions on how one might keep the OneNote data files synchronized so
the data is consistent, regardless of where it is accessed.

TIA

Sure - put it on a keychain disk, an SD card, store it in a Sharepoint My
Site, etc. I use SD card at home and office and carry it with me and along
comes all my notes!

Replace "OneNote Data" with "Word and Excel Documents"
and you'll see that the solutions for them apply equally
to OneNote.

- Store the *.ONE files in your "My Notebook" folder on a
file server. Use direct network access and/or offline
files to access. Change the path under Tools | Options |
Open and Save | My Notebook as appropriate on each
machine.
- Publish to Sharepoint.

This has been discussed many times just recently. Just search on the word
'sync'.
