Onenote deleting printer somehow?

My sister bought a new Dell laptop with Vista. She has an HP printer
that I installed and it works fine. However, every once in a while
the printer suddenly becomes uninstalled or something and the default
printer changes to Onenote. I have to reinstall the driver for the
laptop to even see the printer. What is going on? TIA.

I don't know if this is uniquely a OneNote issue - Windows will revert its
Default Printer to whatever is available if for some reason the current
default printer is deleted. In the case of most home users, there is only
one printer installed, and maybe some software items (such as the "Send to
OneNote 2007" printer or fax software).

You may want to post in one of the hardware forums found elsewhere on the
Microsoft Support website.
