OneNote FAQ

B

Ben M. Schorr, MVP

Been a while since I reminded folks so...

There is a OneNote FAQ at
http://home.hawaii.rr.com/schorr/computers/onenotefaq.htm which may have
the answer to your question. If you don't see the answer, don't forget to
check the "More Information and Resources" list for pointers to other
sites/FAQs that may have what you need.

And, of course, don't be afraid to look back at the earlier questions and
answers in this group to see if your question has already been answered.

Thanks!

What browser are you using? Works fine here in IE 6.

IE 6 (inside of IRider).

The other day, I had a site (my own) which only gave
errors in IRider on SOME visits -- but apparently not
in IE (direct), but then I notice that even though the error
did not display in IE, their was an error Icon in the status
bar on every refresh.

This was due to a JavaScript problem in the CSS file.

Both IE (direct) and IRider-IE both give this error.
(Both of them claim the error is on line 120.)

No error in Netscape, Mozilla, nor in Firefox.

(I am testing browsers and web sites so I have
them all open <grin>)

Hmmm...works fine here in Opera 8 and IE 6. Maybe if you clear your IE
cache?

Ben, thanks for the page. I dl'd the PowerPoint importer which I thought was
awesome. I also found OneNote to be a much better vehicle than Word
(probably unintended, however) for copying and pasting your page as a 'help
file' in OneNote. I had trouble getting the page formatting in Word to work
well even when dropping the side margins to .25, however, the OneNote
copy/paste dropped it in perfectly with all formatting correct and to the
point and no page overflows. :)

So now I've been able to incorporated this page as an easily accessible
quick 'help' while I'm using OneNote. Thanks for the link and the link for
the Powerpoint importer.

Glad I could help. :) I'm trying to update the page more often, so do
check back occasionally for the latest updates.

Almost had a hissy, I 'zoomed' and your insructions called for c/a/- and my
input pad doesn't have a numeric input pad but you saved the day by telling
us how to put a zoom button in so I was able to get it back to the proper
size. :) ...finally.
