OneNote for MAC PLEASE!!!

L

Lee Maisel

I have many customers who are in a mixed environment, and LOVE OneNote.
They can use it on a Mac currently by using Parallels Desktop and
other solutions, BUT since they are using MS Office for Mac (on the Mac
side) this defeats the whole purpose of using OneNote!

PLEASE develop a OneNote for Mac that interoperates with the Windows
version. Especially for notebook sharing over the network.

Thanks!

Hi Lee!

You're talking to fellow Office users here, not Microsoft.

You can let Microsoft know your thoughts by using the Help --> Send
Feedback mechanism in any Office application.

Hope this helps!

Hi Lee:

You will not that there is a "Send Feedback" link on the web page that "Send
Feedback" takes you to?

I would suggest that you advise ALL the users who want OneNote (sick,
twisted souls that they are...) to visit that link and add their comments.

But tell them to do it "now". Mac Business Unit is making this decision as
we speak. If there is enough support for it, there is a possibility that
you might just get support for OneNote in the next version of Office. If
nobody bothers, well: you get to wait four years for another chance to
vote...

Cheers

Thanks Bill!

The Notebook Layout view in Word 2004/2008 is based on/inspired by
OneNote. It's not as full-featured, but it might offer enough to satisfy
some of your users, and was improved in 2008.

When you write MS, be detailed about what features your users want that
make Notebook Layout not enough, how they use OneNote and what they do
with it, and let them know how much your users are willing to pay for
OneNote--you need to convince MS that developing it will make a profit,
so give them good information.

Hi Daiya:

I think the first "feature" Lee would ask for is "Can read and write OneNote
files".

Notebook Layout is not much use to anyone in a collaborative situation until
it can do that :)

Cheers
