OneNote Help should show how to insert existing sound recordings

This can be done fairly easily by copying a .wma file to your OneNote folder
and renaming it: "<folderName> - <pageTitle> - <NumericDigit>.wma", where
the items in angle brackets (<..>) are replaced with the appropriate values.
This even works with .mp3 files by changing the extension to .wma
This facility is very useful if a relevant recording already exists, for
example for foreign language students, inserting pronunciation guides, a
spoken version of the text in the OneNote page, or an interview where the
student is expected to make responses during the silent gaps between
questions. Other uses in other contexts can easily be envisaged - an
explanation related to a diagram.
The suggestion is made because the "Help" section only explains how to make
a recording directly into OneNote, but not how to insert a previous recording.

Are you stating that this is possible or asking the question...
I havent tried it so i dont know
Sounds confusing... but it would be great if you could just import audio
into notes.
And select what sound you want to play in the note.
Also would be better if the sound was imbedded into the .one file instead of
a seperate file. For a few reasons, 1) security?, 2) ease of use, you could
export it to a file if you wanted to.
I just think it would be cool.

I am both stating that this is possible using the procedure I explained, and
suggesting that the OneNote Help system should at least include this method
for the benefit of others who might want to do it but don't know how.

It is, of course, possible to paste a link to an audio file, but that
appears as a large HTML text link which also opens the application that the
file extension is associated with. The method I describe uses the WMP which
is more closely integrated with the OneNote system. But as James Gockel
suggests, I would prefer a method which was more perfectly integrated with
OneNote through a Menu command.

Please vote for the suggestion if you think it would be useful.
