OneNote ink group is too thin for effective equation notetaking

When using ink extensively in OneNote and trying to transcribe mathematical
equations, the default size of the ink group results in oft and serious
errors. The program interprets subscripts and index variables as separate
note containers all together and makes moving the equations around cumbersome
if not downright impossible.

Have you tried using the "Treat Ink as Drrawing" button on the Drawing and
Writing Tools toolbar?
