I have just downloaded a trial copy of OneNote (Extractor 11.0.6360.0) from
the ms site but it won't install.
I get the error message "Windows could not access the specified device, path
or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access this file"
Can anyone help, please!

Brian,

Where did you download it to? If you navigate there in Windows
Explorer do you see the file?

I downloaded to Desktop and it shows up in Windows Explorer as "Microsoft
Office OneNote 2003 Self-Extracting Installer" 83,770KB

Does it really need to be the "Administrator" acoount?
Wouldn't it be sufficient if it was a user with Admin rights?

Admin rights is sufficient. The dedicated Administrator account is
really not need special (except for I think 2 circumstances related to
recovering a system).
