OneNote launching by itself

I am running Office 2000, and Windows XP Home. Fairly often my computer
seems to "lock up", and when I go into task manager, it shows that the most
recently launched program is OneNote. However, OneNote is not fully
launched, and I don't know why it is trying to launch (I didn't start it
consciously). My guess is that it has to do with the sidebar program, but
beyond that, I'm not sure why it is turning itself on, why it is hanging up,
or how to fix it.

The SideNote appears on the Task List as ONENOTEM.EXE. If you hit
WindowsKey+N or WindowsKey+SHIFT+N it will launch OneNote.
