onenote link to gmail message not working

I have a url of a gmail message, if I put it in the browser address window it
goes right to my gmail message. I put the same url in onenote, click on it
and it stops at the top level of gmail ( logged in) but does not go deeper to
the direct message. Anyone know how I can fix this.

I'm not sure. Are you sure that the various codes in the URL are for a
specific message? Can you copy a URL to a message, close the browser,
clear your cache, open the browser and paste the URL and still have it go
to the same intended message?

Trying to determine if it is indeed something funky with OneNote or with
the URLs generated by GMail.

I did as you suggested and started clean ( empty cashe, ...) same issue the
url works if you put it in the browsers url window ( a deep link to content),
but does not work clicked on from onenote (stops at your gmail inbox). It did
not do a deep link from MS word 07 either. I should have said that I was
using firefox, but I just tried it in IE as default and got the same result
(using winXP) - from onenote (or word) a gmail link just takes you to the
main inbox, rather then anything deeper. Interesting if you drag the url to
the desktop, then click on it ( same exact url that is in onenote) then it
works with a gmail deep link. So it looks like office apps are the issue,
since the winxp desktop works fine.

Very repeatable by anyone with gmail.

just try this as search (in your broswer then in ON):

http://mail.google.com/mail/#search/hello

you should get in your gmail showing a list of all your messages with
"hello" in them( or change the hello to whatever you want to search for). Any
suggestions let me know. I'm a win power user, new to ON and very excited
about it, but need simple hyperlinking in and out of non-MS programs ( see
my firefox linking issue below) to really make it work well. I'm sure there
are many like me out there ( gmail/firefox users).

I'm unable to test because I do not have a gmail-account.

The way you repeat things, there seems to be a bug.
Therefore I suggest that you post this as a bug in "Connect", the place
for submitting suggestions and bug reports to the developers team:
