OneNote needs easy way to synchronize between laptop and desktop

want to use

This product is much less useful without an easy "one button" and automatic
way to synchronize files between a laptop and desktop machine - preferably
over the internet so it could be done on the fly and from any where.

You don't even need the button if you use Shared Notebooks -- which get a
lot more powerful in the next version. (see Chris' blog)

I would argue that type of function isn't appropriate to be included for
one application. That is something that should be provided by the OS.

XP offers Offline Files and Folders to do this.

Thanks Ken for the info, I looked it over and I now have a few questions.
Please, anyone, can you help.

Yesterday, I discovered on the MS website, a product called Groove, which on
the surface, I thought, sounds like it is supposed to do the same thing, but
only better and more.

I also started to evaluate the OneNote package and it seems like it is doing
some of the similar type things. Shareing resources amongst a group for
collaboration and group productivity.

How do these prodcuts related to each other than and why have them all, if
they duplicate eachother?
