Onenote not indexing attachments?

I noticed that Onenote isn't indexing attachments. It would be great
to use Onenote for archiving, but sometimes I'd prefer to store the
orginal document instead of a copy&paste. Windows search seems to find
attachments in Outlook without a problem, but not in Onenote.

Is this a bug or is there a reason for this missing functionality?
