Ben,
I'm using 2007 version of onenote. So all I have to do is load onto my
server and create a shared notebook?

So all I have to do is load onto my

Well all workstations on the LAN need to have their own licensed copy of
OneNote 2007 installed,

Each workstation can then access the Shared Notebook(s) on the server and
OneNote handles the updating, data merging, conflict management etc in the
Shared Notebooks(s).

You load OneNote on the workstations but you create the shared notebook
(data file) on the server. The best way is to create a shared folder on
the server you can use for OneNote files and locate the shared notebooks
there using Share | Create a Shared Notebook.

Where in "officelive" or "officelive small business" is a server that I can
make a shared folder to do this? I am working on a project with the business
librarian at our public library, but the information needs to be on our
server not theirs. The library will purchase a copy of onenote for her. Now
all I need is a server. I have a domain but that would be a different server.
I have "spaces" but that again is probably a different server. I don't know a
server address for this. I suppose it would be part of officelive small
business as opposed to officelive. What is the difference; way confusing.

I just wrote a detailed question about the server and hit post and then
microsoft took me around the block about verifying my email address, andwhen
I get back... guess what; my question is gone. Typical microsoft. Death to
Microsoft.
