OneNote/Outlook Integration: Email meeting minutes to attendees

F

Falcon42

I use OneNote to take minutes using handwriting on a tablet PC. Meetings I
schedule and manage attendees using Outlook. Whilst I can usefully
automatically transpose meeting details from Outlook into OneNote (into a
custom template); having completed minutes into the template I then have to
use the Send To command in OneNote to get Outlook to send the minutes as an
email.
The handling of the attendees' names and email addresses is not such to
avoid me having to manually look up and enter potentially significant numbers
of email addresses into Outlook to complete the process.
Hence please:
Improve the information sent by Outlook into OneNote such that attendees'
names are shown in Onenote as in Outlook - i.e. name (shown as hyperlink) and
email addy;
Improve Send To Outlook to pick up receipients' addys as in OneNote doc.

enter the names in semicolon delimited format then copy and paste the list -
the office envelope will autoresolve them. The most you'll need to do is
r-click on the red underlined names. (You will need to use the same names or
part of names as the display names on the contacts.)

OneNote has limited programmability, so picking up names from the doc might
not make it in, although if full smart tag capability is added, a people
smart tag would do that - but you'd probably still need to take action for
it to happen - copy and pasting a semicolon delimited list into the To line
is pretty much automatic as long as the names resolve. Once resolved once,
they should resolve correctly the next time.
