OneNote has quit displaying the Paste Options button when I paste text from a
Reflection Terminal Emulation screen. Was working fine... Have totally
removed and re-installed OneNote and added SP1 & SP2. Still does not come up
with the option checked ON or OFF! I am about to give up....

Isn't Ctrl+V to paste quicker anyway? :)

Does that work for you?

It would if it would NOT apply strange formatting. I need "plain raw text",
and it is stuffing in strange random tab positions and wrapping of text in
those tab locations that makes the data look like random "table formatting".
It is really something I have never seen before. I really like OneNote...but
this is going to keep me using a different application. I prefer software
that doesn't 'think for me'. This is the only application that does me this
way.
To make this work, I have to paste the text into Word, then copy it out and
paste it into OneNote. This is a pain in the rear, and not worth the effort.

What are you copying from when you have that problem?

That is absolutely bizarre.

I tried pasting some simple text from Reflection into Onenote and the
formatting is all screwed up, just as you said. The same text pastes just
fine into every other program I tried.

I know that Reflection puts both plain text and an RTF version onto the
clipboard, and apparently when OneNote tries to pick up the RTF it mangles
it badly. The same text pastes into Word and PowerPoint with no problems.

It looks like a OneNote bug to me. I know the RTF is nothing terribly fancy
.... it exists primarily to pass the font name (usually r_ansi) to the
receiving program. (I used to work for WRQ).

As for the lack of a Paste Options button, I don't know ... I seem to get
one every time.
