When I do a search in the OneNote Research pane, I get the message "This
service could not be searched because you are not connected to the internet."
But I am and the Outlook 2003 Research pane works fine. l am running OneNote
SP1 on a Tablet PC Version 2005 over a wireless network.

You should have the same results in Outlook and OneNote. The components
that support the Research pane are common to all Office programs. It's
strange that you have different results in different programs...

What settings do you have under "Tools | Options | Other | Service Options
| Online Content" ?

What error is given when OneNote can't connect?

The full message under Encarta Dictionary is "This service could not be
searched beacuse you are not connected to the internet. Please connect and
try again."
Under "Tools | Options | Other | Service Options | Online Content" I have
checked all the boxes. I agree that it is hard to believe that Outlook works
and OneNote doesn't, but I just tried both, Outlooks works OneNote fails.

Thanks for your response.

Brian
