Onenote Section Crashed

I was just having trouble with my writing formatting for a long section of
notes I'd handwritten and then the section crashed altogether and I lost all
the notes. The page is blank now-- it shows whatever window I most recently
had open. Is there any way to recover it? The latest backup file for that
section is from 2 days ago and a lot of changes have been made since.
Because OneNote is supposed to be self-saving I don't have a more recent copy
that I've saved myself and I just lost a huge amount of work.

AFAICS there is no chance to get back what was blown away.
