What specifically do you wish it to do that it doesn't currently do
with hyperlinks?

Previous feedback in this area involves OneNote's lack of a formal
hyperlink creation feature (implemented with Ctrl-K in other Office
programs) and the inability in OneNote to create internal links to other
OneNote data on other pages/sections.

Then I will vote for this.

I am new to OneNote (loaded it yesterday) but I think that I
am already hooked -- since I have been doing essentially the
same thing by hand.

One of my ugliest hacks is using the Outlook DRAFTS folder
for lots of notes (never likely to be emailed anywhere) and of
course I have large collections of those little yellow pad things,
and text files all over my machine.

So far the feature I like the best is that when I copy something
from a web page and paste it into OneNote the URL to the original
source is autocreated and I don't have to waste time making a
reference to the original.

I have enough Shortcuts over 10 years using IE to fill most hard
drives. And the organizing is barely passable.

It occurs to me that there should be whole books or web sites
written on the subject of organization information for personal
use -- and in a pratical, non-obtrusive way.

Herb, if you haven't already, I suggest you run through the 45-minute demo -
OneNote tips and tricks - here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011423061033.aspx I keep
going back to it and discovering new things.

Thank you -- I did that first, when I was thinking about
installing OneNote (I am a Partner and had it but never
loaded it.)

It is good advice. I was interested before the demo, but
convinced afterwards.

That's how I found it, Herb. Except I'd been running it since it first came
out (pre-SP1 version, the original) and am truly amazed with everything that
can be done.

It's a little late and I'm a little tired, but I think you'll be able to do
what I think it is that you want in OneNote 2007.
