OneNote should avoid breaking links to inserted documents

When I insert documents into OneNote pages I have three options. I like the
second which copies the document to my notebook and places a link on the
page. The problem occurs later when I move pages or sections between
folders. OneNote changes the link based on which folder the page is in but
it does not move the file!!! Therefore, when I try the link I get an error
message saying the file can't be opened. It shows the link. It is easy to
tell that the link now refers to a folder that does not contain the doc. As
a work-around I must move the file to agree with the link. Major hassle!!
Sometimes I have Many files. I tried modifying the link instead but there is
no way I have found to modify the link even though 'Help' says there is. The
link's label can be changed but not the link itself.

I'm having the same problem. I use OneNote to keep information about my
projects that I have going on. When a project is finished, I move it to an
Archive folder. However, it doesn't move any of the linked items I may have
had on the page - email messages, Word docs, etc. Yet it updates the link on
the OneNote page itself to the new path. Ideally, when I move a section to
another folder, OneNote should move all linked files also.
