OneNote should enable a table function with simple Excel-type fea.

Love OneNote, but I get frustrated when I have information that would be
better displayed in an Excel-like grid/table format, but that I want to keep
in OneNote. I do not find the current OneNote table function adequate
(Tabbing over to create a table) as the information gets jumbled up. Is there
a possibility that a table function with simple Excel-like features could be
created for OneNote?

Sorry - we get this request a lot so we don't always respond to every post
about it.

Tables were not included in the first release for several reasons: 1 - they
are hard 2 - we didn't have resources to do them since we had to build even
more basic capabilities into the product first and 3 - we wanted to ship the
product with a basic set of capabilities to see what people need, rather
than put in all the features we imagined they needed.

You can read more about this idea in general here:

No problem - that's the nature of newsgroups. After 2 weeks it's as if all
past discussion never happened.

I'm afraid I can't give a timeline for the next version - sorry.
