OneNote should have "smart" selecting and underlining like Word

In Word 2003, when you use the mouse to select words, it automatically
selects the whole word even if the cursor doesn't scroll over the entire
word. Likewise, if you select two or more words and underline them, Word
doesn't underline the blank space after the last word. It seems like these
to "smart" features should be included in OneNote 2003 as well.

No offence, but I hate those features in Word.
It makes selecting exactly what you want very difficult. Especially if it
thinks a line of text is a full word or something, and it's just a pain. All
those features should be removed. heh.
But thats just my gripe... So no it should not be added.

Sure, to select one word, you double-click it. But to select several words,
you either use keyboard shortcuts or the mouse. I think I just got lazy with
Word automatically selecting text.

No offense taken. Honestly, I just think Microsoft should provide the option
to allow people to use or not use features.
