A feature that that I see essential for OneNote, is the ability to include
"Objects". I think this would solve many problems encountered by many
people. For my particular purpose, I would like to include equations from a
mathematical equation program such as Equation Editor or MathType. I can
currently do this in MS Word by the following procedure:
[From Menu] Insert > Object... > [select: Microsoft Equation Editor > click
OK]
And this applies to any other OLE objects that I use from time to time.
The point is that it would be nice to have project mock-up processes
centralized in OneNote such that in time, it can be efficiently transferred
and assembled professionally in a complete report using the respective data
and appropriate office applications. It’s nice to take notes but it would be
best to have access to more than a picture or text data (or HTML) which must
be reformatted at the stage where the information gets compiled into a
concise report; or at the very least, modified. When I already have a good
idea which application will be using the data, OneNote would enable me to
improve my level of productivity if I could prepare the tidbits of data in
their respective OLE object formats, instead of opening each applications and
saving the tidbits as files to be linked or copied in my notebook.
